My mother always saw these cats on the way to her work. They were sunbathing in front of an old abandoned house Uji, Japan. My mother loved the sight and one day she stopped and took some pictures. Unfortunately, the house is no longer exists, a week after she shot this photos the house was demolished. My mom never saw those cats again.

Sweet photo! Some may have not had owners, their fur is not good condition. But they had a nice spot for sun bath. I see where Sachie gets her love of kitties, from her mom!
Cats do love sunbathing don't they. Such sweet photos. Makes me miss having all the cats on the farm and having them all rush up to me at once lol. We had 27 at one time I loved it. Thanks for these pics Sachie.
I just thought of something...the black and white cats together...yin and yang.
* pray they found their way to loving, forever homes with people who cherished them always. And Sachie-san, that is so true: we need to treasure each encounter and each friend and loved one. No one ever knows.
Poor kitties. I wonder where they all went.
the quote w/your story almost brought me to tears. I hope the kitties were ok.
That quote is so true
Nice picture! THey were really enjoying the sunshine!
I was looking for a quote about cats sunbathing for my post tomorrow with my cats in the sun and found your wonderful sunbathers. Do you have an update an what happened to them. They look like a feral colony.
