Goma playing on my lap VIDEO!

Hello! I am uploading a new video today. Goma loves to be on my lap and play! I think he is super cute when he does that!! Now he is growing so much, especially his stomach is getting really big!! I maybe need to stop free feeding Goma...
Anway,last night, I lost Goma again for few second. I didn't know where he went. I looked in the closet, under the bed,under the sink and of course inside of the fridge. but I coudn't find him! Anyway, I went in to the bath room and found him in the SINK! you know where you wash your face and brush your teeth... he was curl up in the place just chilling. How the hell did he got in there?? My sink is kind of high and I never see him in there! Now he really likes staying there I guess it is because it's cold. I have some picture of that to share with you maybe later on today or tomorrow. Meanwhile, please enjoy the video!

Tay and Ted visit of Goma VIDEO!

Sorry for the late post. I posted about Tay and Ted came to visit Goma before. I did have this video but I had such a hard time with Youtube...anyway, it is so fun to watch Goma interact with Tay and Ted!! I think they really hit it off! It is really surprising that Goma is soooo great with people(and animals). He never hides or act strange. He just being himself. I wish more people will come visit Goma so people can see how cute Goma really is!! Anyway, today when I came back from kickball game, as soon as I opened the door Goma sliped in between my legs and went outside!! He was really fast!! Next time I need to be really quick to get in the house!! It's amazing how he learns those things in just few weeks!! He is really smart. I also start thinking about harness training. My harness is still too big for Goma but I am planning to go Petco this weekend and buy Ferret harness so that it will fit Goma... My goal is to go outside with Goma on the leash! I better start now! Anyway, Tay's cat Elbow had ear surgery today...poor little thing! I hope Elbow is doing better and quickly recover.... thanks for reading!

ZORSE??

I know this is not cat related but I must write about this thing called "Zorse". It is not photoshop it is real!! "A Shetland pony on a UK farm has surprised its owners by giving birth to a half-zebra foal" according to BBC news. WOW! how this possible!? It looks like this Zorse baby is doing good. Expert said it looks like it will live long and happy life... Amazing.This Zorse is also attracting tourist too. I hope this Zorse will survive and produce more Zorses.

This is why Goma is so smart!!

OMG! My house is so hot I can't stand it. I am staying still but sweats are running down my neck!! Goma also looked very hot and tired. He kept opening his small mouth trying to exhaust the hot air!! I really worried so I went and bought double fan that I can install my window. I install it fine but I don't feel any cooler...maybe I am doing something wrong...do I suppose to put exhaust on one fan and fresh air in the other?? I have no idea... Anyway, funny part is I was cooking despite of this hot room. When I finished I can not find Goma enywhere!! I looked and looked and finally I found him INSIDE OF THE FRIDGE!! SLEEPING!!! I thought he is dead for second but actually he LOVES staying there. I understand so I let him stay there door opened. He probably stay inside of the fridge like 30 minutes then he finally came out. He was somehow refreshed so started to running around the room as usual. I think I should put him in the fridge(door opened) few times a day with my supervison. That's the only way we can survibe this summer!! Don't worry I will make sure he will not freeze!

New friend! Tay&TED

Hello! My friend Tay and Ted came over to see Goma yesterday. They have 2 cats of their own too! It was nice to see how Goma making new friends! I wish I can bring him to work...but Goma's harness is too big for now. It doesn't fit him yet. Yeah, I work with Tay and Ted, it's funny I sit between them. Goma is a sweet kitten I think everybody will love him at work.
Man, it was so hot last night! My room is insanely hot!! I couldn't sleep! on top of that Goma woke me up around 6:30am to play with him. I am so lack of sleep today...grr. Anyway enjoy the pictures!!

Goma and Poop

Oh, this morning I woke up and smelled something like...poop. So I looked around but I can not find poop anywhere! Anyway, I looked at Goma and realize he had a poop on his butt!! I don't know how long it's been there. It was very hard to get it off!! So I need to give him partial bath this morning. So the first picture is when I finished washing Goma, drying him with a towel. He somehow likes to be in the towel. He kept biting me and towel!! He is just so cute even a piece of poop hanging down from his butt!!

Vacuum my cat VIDEO

This is so funny. The cat really likes to be vacuume!! I don't think I sould do it to Goma, he is just too small...vacume will eat him up!! haha. Today, I have to leave Goma home for 8 hours...This is the first time I left him so long. When I came home Goma was in front of the door waiting for me!! Sooooo cute!! He never waits for me like that. Normally when I get home he is sleeping or hiding somehwere. I guess he missed me a lot, he was following me around the house for a while. He seems wanted to be near me. Ohh, I felt so bad leaving him for such a long time...I will update more pictures tomorrow!

I just feel like bragging about GOMA.

It's been a week since I welcomed Goma as my family member. I think Goma is unusually cute and precious cat ever. I don't even think he is a cat, I feel like he is something else. He is just too good for being cat. Oh, and I think he talks me too. I pretty much understand what he wants now. He is very well adjusted with environment, he is very good with strangers and other animals. Every time he looks at me and meow, my heart melts!! He is just so cute when he does that. I never get tired of him even I stay with him all day long. we play with toys, play hide and seek and sleep together. Every moment I spend with him is such a blessing for me. I think he is an angel. I am serious. Omg! I think I love him too much already, I just pray that I can be a good mother to him. and I wish the all the best things in the world...I hope he is happy with me too. I really can't wait to develop more friendship with Goma and get to know him more and more. It's amazing how Goma makes such a big difference in my life! I am so happy everyday and peaceful. I know I totally sound like a madly in love person...but i just can't help it!! Goma is sooooo important for me. I am so grateful that I met Suzette too(goma's breeder). She i so knowledgeable and kind. Friday I told her Goma has tearing problem. On the same day she send me some eye powder I can put around Goma's eyes! She is just genuine cat lover who cares so much about her cats!! I really do think she is the best breeder ever!!! Thanks for reading through this posting...even though all I did was brag about Goma!! haha.

A Chinese woman claims her cat has grown wing.

Granny Feng's tom cat has sprouted two hairy 4ins long wings, reports the Huashang News."At first, they were just two bumps, but they started to grow quickly, and after a month there were two wings," she said. Feng, of Xianyang city, Shaanxi province, says the wings, which contain bones, make her pet look like a 'cat angel'.Her explanation is that the cat sprouted the wings after being sexually harassed.
"A month ago, many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow," she said. However, experts say the phenomenon is more likely down to a gene mutation, and say it shouldn't prevent the cat living a normal life.

Hello! I have a new funny video of Goma playing with tooth brush!! It is automatic so it vibrates...he was scared at first but now he likes it. Everytime I put the switch on he will come running. haha, so cute!

Goma going crazy!!

OMG!! Last niht Goma was going crazy over this toy! I bought this one from Petco and he is going crazy ever since. It just cracks me up everytime. If you have a cat this toy is a must have!! Your cat will love you for this. Especially, indoor cats gets bored easily, it is nice to give them something they can spend hours with...and it is a good work out for your cat.

Goma and his new buddy Elway!

Today, Beagle dog Elway came over to play with Goma! I was bit nervous about introducing a new friend to Goma...At first Goma looked surprise, he was just sitting in the corner looking at Elway. Goma didn't move for a long time. Then my friend Cassandra came over to meet Goma(oh i know Goma is getting really popular!). She has a persian cat name Periwinkle, she is 15 years old flame pt persian kitty. I snapped a picture Cassandra holding Goma. Aren't they so cute?? Anyway, after Cassandra left Elway and Goma started to interact little bit. As you can see in the photo, they seemed want to be close to each other but keeping the distance...I love how Goma and Elway looking out the window together and sleeping together!! I think they will be a good friends in NO time! Goma is now sleeping now...I think he got tired with all the attention. I will let him sleep for now. I am still having hard time uploading video!! What's wrong with Youtube!? Anyway, I will try to figure out and post it here soon. I have some fun videos!

Goma loves to be brushed

hello hello, I tried to upload a video to Youtube but somehow I keep getting errors... so instead I am updating pictures today. This was Goma on my lap enjoying brushing. He loves to be groomed! He purrrrs everytime I do it and fall sleep. I think you can see it in the picture that he really enjoying it. Anyway, this morning was kind of hard for me because I have to leave him at home!!! grr...I hope I can take him to work... I am wondering what he is doing at home. Before I come to work, I spreaded all the toys I have on the floor so he can play with it. And I kept TV and Fan on too. i can't wait for this weekend so we can play hide and seek again. I think Goma is cutest creature in the whole world. I love him more everyday! He is just so sweet.

2nd day with Goma

Okay, I spend the whole day with Goma today. He has been sleeping and playing a lot. Today I needed to go grocurey shopping today so I left him for 1 hour, when I came back he was just where I left him..SLEEPING! Sometimes he hides under tv, sleeping I have hard time finding him. Oh he pooped on the floor today!! well it is because I was in the bathroom taking shower...I kept the door open though...I think he needs some privacy when he is doing his stuff. I will respect that from now on. Generally he is super good about using litter box. I have really small place but I think Goma likes it a lot. There are scrach tower, tond of windows, tons of places to hide and explore. But his favorite place must be on the bed. He sleeps there all the time! anyway, I have some more pictures from this afternoon. I will be updateing more video tomorrow so make sure you check it! I hope you enjoy!

Goma Monday morning

I think Goma is getting bigger and bigger day by day...he eat food like 10 time a day!! his belly is getting big. Right now he is playing with wire toy i made for him. He loves that more than toys i bought in store. I think he is tired now. Anyway, last night he made a mess on my wooden floor!! He kept going into the bath tab and get his feet wet and he goes into the litter box. He comes out with full of web litter and run around the room!! Omg! Goma playing with ping pong ball

Goma is already feeling at home! He was playing with ping pong ball last night! Let me tell you about last night, he was so tired but he was just so excited to go sleep. He was sniffing around the whole house and start playing with new toys I got for him. FInally I went to bed wondering where he's gonna sleep. At middle of the night I felt something around my face and I opened my eyes. I found Goma sleeping next to my face!! and he moved on top of my head...and he woke me up with punch on my face...anyway, he was sleeping around my head the entire time!!! So cute!! I felt warm fuzzy thing around my face entire night! Ohh...he is super cute...more video and pictures to come!! ENJOY!

I MET GOMA FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!

OMG!!! Seriously this is too much!! too much excitement for one day!!! I just went to Suzette's place to pick up Goma! Ohh I can even put into words how I felt when I first met Goma!! HE IS THE MOST PRECIOUS, LITTLE,FURY THING IN THE WORLD!!! When I got there Goma was sleeping with Bosco(his brother)...He didn't get scared or anything when he saw me! What a friendly cat he is!!! He was soooo good on the way home too. When I got home he was sniffing around the house, finding where the food and water and litter box is. And we decided to play with fuzzy ball my friend Tay cave me. He loves that toy! He kept chasing going crazy! Oh, he also liked my kitten food a lot! I have EAGLE PACK now but Suzette feed Goma with IAMS kitten food(purple bag). I was bit worry that he won't like it when I change his food. Next I decided to brush his fur, amazingly he loves to be brushed!! He purrrrs and close his eyes just enjoying the brushing! How precious! Now he is sleeping on my bed. I think he got really tired from all the traveling... I will let him sleep for now. Thanks for all my friends for all the support! I feel I am the luckiest person in the world and I am really blessed to have GOMA as my companion!!

Hot summer survival — Marble bed!!

Yeah right. Summer is already here and my apartment is really really hot. Air conditioning is not healthy for your pet at all. So I wanted to find some alternatives for Goma. I found this product in Japanese pet store. It is marble bed for your pet, Its cold surface gently cools pet's body. I know I can't buy this from Japan so I gonna go Home Depot to buy a piece of marble and put it in my apartment. What a great idea!! This will save a lot of $$$ on electricity using air conditioning, much safer for animals! Puuuurfect!

Handmade Goma food dish!!

Haha, ya I know what you are thinking..."did she make this!?" YES I did and I know I am a dork. I went to local thrift store and bought a pair of small bowls with tray for $1. I couldn't resist drawing on it!! I used normal felt-tip black sharpie to decorate those precious bowls!! I was looking into buying normal pet dish but I couldn't find the one I wanted. So I decided to make one. I love this! and I has fun making it. I think it is perfect for Goma. Let me know what you think!!

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

I saw this movie in Animal Planet few days ago, and I realized the star cat "Sassy" was Himalayan cat!! I watched this movie before but now I know this fact, seriously this movie seemed more interesting to me!! Anyway, this movie is about family and friendship. It is great for kids all age! If you like animals you will LOVE this movie!! For the detailed review click here.

Anayway, I tracked down the breeder who bred "Sassy" of this movie and also "Mr. Jinx" of Meet the parents and Meet the Fokers! The breeder is called Catzbtique.

I don't know if they are currently breeding any himalayans but they must be really good breeder.

The acting of these animals are really great! and voice over is very convincing too!! It is a wonderful family movie!

Japanese Pet Sling!

Okay, I found slings for dogs from this Japanese pet store!! I think it will work for cats too... The advantage of sling is that your arms are compeltely free! The disavantage would be that dog might get too hot inside of it in summer... It is really funny looking, I haven't yet seen people doing this on that street but I am sure a lot of people in Japan is doing it. Yeah, japanese people are so advance on everything!! Again this will be embarrasing for me and Goma so I will not buy this or suggest anyone to buy it. I just put this up because it is funny!!

Treadmill Cat!!

OMG!! I found this video on Youtube. This is super sweet if I can do it with Goma!! The persian cat seems really like walking on treadmill...getting nice work out with the owner. If Goma will do it with me then I will work out everyday for sure! Indoor cats tend to be big...so treadmill is really good idea!! I wish they make small treadmill for animals. That would be super funny!!

Should I feel guilty about purchasing a pedigreed cat when pet overpopulation is such an issue?

I thought about this many time before I purchased Goma. And many people told me I should get a kitten from the shelter... Should I feel guilty about purchasing a pedigreed cat when pet overpopulation is such an issue? The anwer is If you are purchasing from a reputable breeder the answer is a resounding NO.

Here is why.

Without responsible breeders many of the beautiful breeds you see in magazines, TV, and at cat shows would be extinct. Yes, extinct. It is estimated that pedigreed cats account for only 8% of the cat population. Responsible and reputable breeders are bettering their chosen breed by breeding only the best of their breed. They are doing their part to end overpopulation by selling their kittens on non breeding agreements that require spaying/neutering of their pet kittens or practicing early spay/neutering. Reputable breeders carefully screen their adopters to help to ensure their cats will live a long happy life in a forever home and don't wind up in a shelter. When you purchase a pedigreed cat from a reputable breeder you are supporting the breed you love and helping to ensure the breed is here and healthy for a long time to come. Now that's something to feel good about!!

Only buy a PEDIGREED kitten from a responsible and ethical breeder! Do NOT buy from a breeder that is only breeding cats to make money, or a commercial large type "cattery" or a pet store!
